This month, the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine (GSDM) continued to be on the cutting edge of technology by launching its first cell phone app specifically for dental students, titled, “GoGoldman”. GSDM is currently the only dental school in the country using this kind of app, according to the design partner, Guidebook. GoGoldman is intended to serve as a one-stop-shop for information for students throughout the course of their dental education. It’s first successful deployment and usage could be seen during the weeks of predoctoral orientation, where DMD 21 and AS DMD 19 students used the app for their schedules, questions, and contacting faculty and staff.
The app will be continuously updated by Student Affairs and offers many advantages for dental students. Primary features include: guides from important student-related offices (Academic Affairs, Clinical Affairs, and Student Affairs); the main Student Events Calendar for student organization events, study club meetings, workshops and seminars, and GSDM and BU events. Students can also add events to their own personal in-app schedule, create personal to-do lists, and access relevant links and important information right from their phones.

Using your BU email address is preferred when creating an account. The GoGoldman app allows you to keep up to date with any schedule changes, receive push notifications when new information is added or schedules change, and connect with classmates, faculty, and staff.
