On the evening of Saturday, May 17, 2014, members of the Boston University community gathered at Symphony Hall for the 100th annual BU Night at the Pops. Among them, Dean and Mrs. Jeffrey W. Hutter joined 50 graduates, family, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends of Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine for an evening of auditory enjoyment.

Concert attendees were treated to a remarkable cello performance by BU College of Fine Arts student Nicholas Brown.  As a special treat, Alexander Keiser, CGS 12, SMG 14 earned the opportunity to serve as guest conductor at the end of the evening after winning the BU Class Gift contest.

The first half of the program paid homage to the traditional Pops style concert presented throughout the 100 year tradition. The second half of the program featured a fun journey through the decades that included popular music for alumni from every decade in attendance. The program concluded with a sing-a-long tribute to the Beatles as the scarlet and white balloons fell from the ceiling and BU mascot Rhett danced up the center aisle of the hall in celebration of a wonderful evening for Boston University.
