On Saturday, July 6, 2013, two faculty members and two students from the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine participated in the 27th Annual Charles C. Yancey Book Fair at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center. The Fair also included music, arts and crafts, and resource tables.
Clinical Instructors in the Department of Health Policy & Health Services Research Drs. Ana Keohane and Martin Ugarte-Chavez, Alan Jue DMD 14, and Jae Rim Lee DMD 14 made “tooth prints” for 200 children for the Masonic Youth Child Identification Program (MYCHIP) program, which provides law enforcement with the ability to identify lost or missing children.
“It was a very well organized and well attended event,” said Dr. Keohane. “It was an excellent opportunity for the students to participate in a community-based event and work with children and their parents.”
