Dr. Kady Rawal, Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Restorative Sciences & Biomaterials at the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine (GSMD), recently presented at the FDI World Dental Congress (WDC). According to their website, the WDC is the largest international dental congress, and was held from August 29 – September 1, 2017 in Madrid, Spain.
Dr. Rawal’s lecture was about geriatric dental medicine and its inception in India. It was part of the “Global Gerontodontogy” series that featured dental faculty from around the world teaching and improving geriatric oral health on a global scale.
“It was an honor to represent GSDM at this international forum,” said Dr. Rawal. “I found the other lectures very informative, and look forward to sharing some of what I learned with my students.”
The FDI World Dental Congress offers dentists from around the world the opportunity to network, take continuing educations courses, meet with vendors, and attend various poster and oral presentations by their peers. The WDC is a cultural experience as well, as attendees are afforded the opportunity to tour and explore the cities and cultures of their host city.
